17-4PH

Material Description

17-4 PH is a martensitic, chromium-nickel-copper precipitation-hardening stainless steel. 17-4 PH stainless steel is capable of attaining a wide range of strength and toughness properties depending on the precipitation or aging temperature used in hardening. Its valuable combination of high strength, good corrosion resistance and toughness in both base metals and welds gives designers opportunities to add reliability to their products while simplifying fabrication and often reducing costs. High strength is maintained to approximately 316°C (600°F). This material has good resistance to stress corrosion cracking in the lower strength conditions.

Particle size distribution optimized to suit specific machine platforms and process types (i.e. SLM, EBM, LMD, etc.) Custom sizing also available.

Full powder qualification including (but not exclusive to) the following: Size Distribution, Flow Properties, Chemistry and Morphology.

Remarks:

1. Most metal powders of AMC has been tested on EOS M280/M290, Concept Laser SLM series 3D printers, Renishaw SLM series 3D printers, and most domestic 3D printers like Farsoon, AFS, E-plus and so on.

2. AMC can customize the chemical composition, particle size, flowability of the metal powders in additive manufacturing.

3. Tested at ambient temperature by Nadcap and UKAS accredited independent laboratory. Test ASTM E8. Machined prior to testing.

4. Tested to ASTM E384-11, after polishing.
