Corrax

Material Description

Corrax is a stainless steel developed for Additive Manufacturing, and is a corrosion resistant iron-based powder used in the DMLS process. Corrax is a tooling grade steel characterized having a good corrosion resistance combined with high strength and hardness. These properties make it perfectly suitable for tools for plastic molds including demanding applications such as molds for medical parts.

Material Properties

High strength and hardness                     Excellent mechanical properties

Easy to treat and machinable                    Can be highly polished

Applications

Corrax is intended for injection molding tools, molding of corrosive plastics, medical engineering & plasticizing tool parts and other industrial applications where high strength and hardness are required, and parts built from Corrax can be machined, shot-peened and polished in as-built or heat-treated status easily.
